Monster Hunter x Pokemon
In a unique fusion of worlds, I created a striking cosplay by combining Monster Hunter armor with the iconic Pokemon, Blastoise. This cosplay, constructed primarily from EVA foam, explores the intriguing concept of what would happen if another "pocket monster" existed in the Monster Hunter universe.
Crafting this cosplay was an exercise in imagination and creativity. Drawing inspiration from both Monster Hunter and Pokemon, I envisioned a scenario where Blastoise could be hunted and transformed into a formidable suit of armor. Utilizing EVA foam as the primary material, I meticulously designed and crafted the armor pieces, paying close attention to capturing the essence of both Blastoise and the Monster Hunter aesthetic.
To enhance the authenticity of the cosplay, I incorporated 3D-printed elements such as the scoutfly cage and slinger. These details, combined with the carefully crafted armor, brought the concept to life and added depth to the overall design.
The idea behind this mashup was to explore the contrasting approaches of Monster Hunter and Pokemon. In Monster Hunter, you hunt and capture monsters to fight alongside you, while in Pokemon, you catch and train them to battle. Combining these concepts allowed me to create a captivating cosplay that showcases the fusion of two beloved franchises and sparks the imagination of fellow fans.
